1. Take it home and charge it overnight. Your newly checked out laptop will not be ready for use until fully charged.
2. Note: You will not be able to log in until your device is fully charged and you turn it on INSIDE the school. It needs to be used for the first time on our network.
3. Once you return to campus, Turn on your fully charged device.
4. Logging in for the first time:
   1. Username: *ISD Username (see below)
   2. Password: 7-digit Student ID ** (7-digit Student ID numbers can be found in Family access or from the student’ s teacher.
5. **ISD Network Password reset is forced by the network. For your new password, choose a password you will REMEMBER. It is not recommended you choose your student ID as a password. It IS recommended you choose something you will definitely always remember. **When you change your password from the Student ID during the required reset, your new password will be linked to your ClassLink and Microsoft Office 365 account.

1. Be sure to check if the laptop is connecting to WiFi?

• If Global icon appears: 🌐 and wait for the WiFi.  📶

2. Check the spelling of your username and password.

Students are expected to bring a fully charged school issued device and charging cord each day. If you need to charge during the day, there are power strips available in the Commons and hallways near lunch areas during both lunches. Classrooms and the school library are equipped with power strips for student use.

Students are expected to bring their charged school issued device and charging cord daily. Please coordinate with your teacher in the unlikely event you forget your device. Some computers may be available for students to use for the class period. In the event of a forgotten laptop, teachers may have an alternative task for you to complete or suggest ways for you to partner with a peer.

Please follow the Student Laptop Support Chart to report issue. A loaner laptop will be issued to you If your laptop is under repair. You must return the loaner device to receive your repaired laptop.

NOTE: You are responsible for repair/replacement cost if your school-issued or loaner laptops are lost or damaged.

• Keep food and drink away from the laptop.
• Be gentle to your laptop. If your laptop is in your backpack, handle your backpack gently when lifting up or putting down.
• Protect the screen. Avoid placing things on top of your laptop.
• Don’t leave your laptop on the ground, near water or extreme temperature.
