Welcome to Cougar Mountain Middle School, home of the Falcons!

Thanks to the passage of the 2016 Issaquah School District Bond, we built an incredible new middle school facility for students.

On a day eagerly anticipated by students, staff and families alike, the beautiful new Cougar Mountain Middle School opened on March 1, 2022. For the first time, the student body of about 640 Falcons arrived at the campus in the Talus neighborhood.

To hear from staff and students about the temporary Cougar Mountain location at Ringdall Junior High and the transition to the new building, pop over to YouTube for a taste of that journey

Get to know us a bit more:

  • In the 2022-23 school year, one of our teachers, Andrea Miele, was honored as ASB Adviser of the Year. Hear her students and fellow staff share a few reasons why

  • Our five-story campus has beautiful views from its perch on the hillside, just below Timber Ridge. We’ve had the opportunity to forge great relationships with our neighbors at Timber Ridge, who have been a wonderful support to our students and staff.

  • Listen to a “poetry slam” creation from two of our students.
