End of Trimester 2 and Early Dismissal 10:55 Friday March 21

The end of our second trimester March 21st is quickly approaching. Monday March 24th is the first day of Tri 3. Students should look closely at their Trimester 3 schedule for any changes in their day, effective Monday March 24th.  Student schedules are available in both Student and Family Access. 

Friday March 21st will be an early dismissal day for students, with the school day ending at 10:55 a.m. for students and no lunches served. Report cards will be available in Skyward/Family Access on March 28th. Grades shown in Canvas are not confirmed as final, until the report card is published. 

Teachers are updating their Canvas pages regularly and there is a lot of helpful information available to you about your student’s academic progress. You can look through their grades in Canvas together and see how consistently they are submitting their work on time (you will also be able to see if they have missing assignments). If you need assistance with accessing Canvas, check out the Canvas Information Secondary website. 

Encourage your student to check in with their teachers if they have specific questions about a class (ex. if they can retake a test or when is the last day of the trimester to turn in missing assignments). However, if your student needs more help with communicating with their teacher, please reach out to the teacher directly – we want to help students build self-advocacy skills, but we recognize that can take time.
