School Based Mental Health Counseling Available

health and wellness

For any students who may benefit from mental health counseling, we have a new counselor, Carson Hohe, from Swedish Hospital. She is currently scheduled to be at Cougar Mountain Middle School five days a week and will be providing counseling services to students during school hours. This program is available to any student who does not currently meet with an outside counselor. Carson frequently works with various topics such as attention or school problems, anxiety, depression, mood regulation, disordered eating and body image, and family stressors. This is a program funded by the Issaquah School District at no cost to students and families. If families are interested in learning more and making a referral for their child, they should reach out to their assigned School Counselor: Mr. Grow (GrowB@issaquah.wednet.edu) for last names A-K or Mr. Hemker (HemkerT@issaquah.wednet.edu) for last names L-Z."
