We are so excited to welcome incoming 6th graders, and those new to the Issaquah School District, to our Cougar Mountain Middle School’s campus to ensure students have an amazing transition to our school! On Wednesday, August 19th from 8:00-10:00am, your student is invited to join us and our trained 8th graders for Take Flight New Student Orientation. We cannot emphasize enough the important role Take Flight orientation plays in this transition. This a program whose sole purpose is to help sixth graders feel more comfortable as well as help them achieve success in their first year of middle school while also supporting new 7th and 8th graders in their transition into the district.
6th grade and new to CMMS parent & caregiver information presentation 8:15-9:15am in our school commons. After dropping off your student, you will be able to park in the parent loop, bus loop, and garage. Parking in the adjacent neighborhoods for school functions is not allowed. Carpooling is very strongly encouraged.
If your student(s) can't attend the Take Flight Orientation Day, no worries. There will be plenty of staff and student helpers to help them navigate their first days at school and they'll still have a WEB group to check in with during the school year.
